that's why I put in bold on the 2nd line in the original post that I cannot account for GST/SET pricing that doesn't following Toyota pricing that the rest of the USA has to adhere to.

there is no such thing as admin fee, etc that those regions tack on that the rest of Toyota regions are not allowed to add to an invoice.

All I know is the sheet I'm looking at from my dealer lists MSRP and Invoice for the truck has an "Admin" line item of $925.00 in the Invoice column and not in the MSRP column.

If this sheet were presented to someone trying to bargain on an Invoice price basis, the "Admin" fee would easily be included in the dealer's claim of the total invoice price.

the admin fee is a made up addon for GST/SET. this fee does not exist in the rest of the Toyota corporate regions. since GST/SET are outside the Toyota corporate rules they can make up whatever that want and put it on the invoice side. if you don't want to deal with these made up fee's go outside of these regions

    :)

and plenty of people drive outside of these regions just for that fact and still save 1k-2k after driving/flying outside of those regions.

these regions have a lock down on everything. even extended warranties are regulated to those regions, they are not backed by Toyota and are only valid inside of those specific regions.

so don't expect a GST ext warranty to be honored at Toyota dealer in say California, ohio, etc.

I am just glad I don't have to deal with that circus. and don't get me started on the crazy options they have that are unique to those regions.

Check out the last page of this thread. Evidently there are some great discounts in the Washington/Oregon area. Wish I was there!!!!

I am looking for a 7560 or 7562 with premium and tech, towing, AT and I am not seeing many of these access cab vehicles anywhere on the net. Is there a reason that anyone knows of. I am guessing I must wait till Jan or so.....

Which is why I specifically stated "SET also charges dealers a $925 Admin fee in the invoice price".

Since the poster I was responding to is in Florida I included that information to help him make sense of the difference between the corporate numbers and what his SET dealer was giving him.

Yes, it is certainly well worth considering shopping outside of SET/GST territory, though not always feasible. I was answering the question asked and sort of expect anyone who's researching will have already read the myriad posts about the regions and potential advantages of shopping outside their region.

picking up 2016 TRD Off-Road on 9/24. Tow package only + ext warr & coating - $35.5 out the door. Like the stock OR tires much better then the street ones other SR5/LTD models (+ no way my wife lets me swap out brand tires) . And I really didn't want the hood scoop either..The off road suspension is good here in HI (especially with wife driving) .. No 4wd outta budget- will live with lock diff. Looking forward to the modern conveniences my 04 Tundra didn't have. 230,000 and still runs great.. its been real.

I know that bud. I thought it changed for 16. But thank you, only on my 5th Tacoma. Must be region specific as NE region you cant build one that way. Interesting.

And the 'build' page is based off regional inventory.

The guy at the dealership sent me this and told me that 7513 was a V6. Is he just lying to me? I think he is lying to me, especially considering the price listed.
