they just didn't make you pay it. That is a federally mandated delivery fee that all dealerships pay to the distributor. This isn't a state fee. Every vehicle, nationwide, pays a fixed price to the distributor to have the vehicle shipped or moved. The dealership payed it and took money from somewhere else in the truck

Invoice on your specific vehicle 7146 model is $27,504 WITHOUT add-ons. You have to pay the delivery fee which is approximately $940, might vary because you are in MD.

    So you're looking at $27,504 + 940 = $28,444 - 1000 (military discount) = $27,444.

Unless the dealer is offering you anywhere from $27,444 - $28,000 + TTL I would walk away.

Oh yeah that's what I meant. My bad... I paid the fee but they took the 950$ from somewhere else. That's what I meant. Sorry for the confusion

Ok so that is good. Taxes and tags are about $1500. So 30,692 minus $1500 is 29,192. I am also telling them to subtract their $300 processing which would put me at $28,892. Getting closer.

I should have added that this model is also equipped with the tow package.

    TO - Towing Package.................................. $ 579 | $ 650

They are telling me that they will show me their Invoice price on the computer. Is that a ploy of some type?

How do you know a dealer is trying a ploy? They show you something as if you're privileged to see it.

You know what the real #s are. Use those to do your own personal calculations of your target drive-out price, then negotiate on that.

Many dealers like to get folks negotiating against invoice, because once they get the buyer to mentally commit it's much easier to slide in $300 and $600 processing fees and other stuff. Not all dealers are slimy, but enough are that you need to be very very careful. Stick with out the door pricing -- makes it MUCH easier to avoid surprises. The bottom line number is the bottom line number.

I was genuinely asking because of the original numbers in the very first post.

I think the joke wasn't clear... it was a variant of "How do you know a politician is lying? His lips are moving."

    Oh well. *shrug*

Invoice also includes other costs to the dealer besides the base truck, options, and delivery such as TDA, gas etc. There are a number of figures you should be aware of when evaluating your price. Dealer Cost, Invoice, Your OTD Cost, and MSRP.

Ok! So I gave up on the search for a TRD PRO. I just hot a quote from a local dealer for a 2017 TRD Sport 4x4 DBLC, LB.
    OPTIONS:
    Tow package: $650
    5" Oval tube step-black: $469
    All-weather floor liners/Door sill: $209
    Bed mat: $120
    Mudguards: $129
    Spare tire lock: $75
    Wheel locks (Alloy): 80
    DPH: $940
    Total: 37,987.00
They are taking $1500 off so the price is $36,487.00 before tax.

Curious if I'm missing something here with the master list on Page 1 -

    Currently it shows:

    7568 - TRD OFF ROAD DOUBLE CAB 4X4 AUTO LB........... $ 32718 | $ 35315 * Invoice updated, no change msrp

All of the current quotes from dealerships for the 7568 are listing a current MSRP of $36,310

Has there been an increase or is there a discrepancy somewhere? Currently shopping for a 7568 in Texas if that matters.

each region has different delivery charge, so I only put the msrp w/o the delivery charge. you have to add it according to your location.

otherwise the numbers would be off for gulf states region vs southeast region vs rest of usa.

funny how gulf states region is $995 and they are closer to the factory in texas and mexico than southeast Toyota and they charge $935

On the 'Inventory' website, I've seen 940, 950, and 995 listed out for destination charges on different trucks in this region. So it's not a set number, and I have no idea what the criteria for each is.

On that same note though, the inventory site is garbage. Just for shits 'n giggles try and do the math on these. They neglect to add the Dest. in some of the totals. Both are 7544s w/tow

So I'm assuming that you cannot get a Double Cab Long Bed with a Manual Transmission?

I asked the dealer and they said sure... and then went to the website and fumbled around for 10 minutes while I showed them how to build a truck on Toyota.com... ? I asked if I could custom order one; they said sure, they think so, shouldn't be a problem.

So I don't have to deal with them again to get the BS answer, anyone know if this combination is able to be custom ordered?
