    Hey everyone,
I’ve been trying to find how much a stock 3rd gen bumper weighs. This would include things like the crash bar or anything else that comes off when replacing with an aftermarket bumper. Can’t find it anywhere online. Would like to know how much weight would be added when adding a steel or aluminum bumper. For example stock rear bumper is somewhere around 85 lbs so upgrading to a bumper that is 90 lbs is almost no difference.

I believe the weight of removed parts in the front is almost negligible. It's plastic parts that are being removed/cut/trimmed.

Watch a few install videos for different bumpers that you might be interested in to verify, I skimmed a C4 high clearance front bumper install video and everything removed was plastic, besides some end caps on the front "crash bar" or crossmember, whatever it's called. I'd guess less than 10 lbs total are removed in the front, if that even.

I believe you are correct that the rear receiver and bumper are around 85 lbs combined, that's what I was told when I asked about weight differences for my rear bumper. I think the bumper itself is around 30-35 lbs, with the receiver being around 50 lbs.

All I can tell you is my rear didn't droop when I installed the rear steel bumper. That and the trailer hitch ball insures someone will think twice about backing into you....

But ya, it was all just a few pounds of plastic.....

The rear OEM Bumper on my 2020 TRD OR (including all the plastic covers and the attached OEM tow bar receiver) was only 70 lbs.
