I’ve wanted to do this mod ever since I purchased my truck but I didn’t want that nasty Green TRD Button. Therefore, I’ve pushed this mod off for as long as possible not being able to convince myself that it was money well spent. Well, the time has changed now. I have located the OEM Light Blue from a OEM Toyota Hilux that my Vendor can locate for me. OEM PUSH ENGINE START/STOP RED TRD BUTTON BY KTJO 4x4





PURPOSE:

The purpose of this Mod is simply cosmetic and easy on the eyes. This is accomplished by adding the OEM Toyota Hilux Push Engine START/STOP Red TRD Button and removing our OEM Toyota Tacoma Push Engine START/STOP Black Button.

PRODUCT DETAIL:

There is no need to Splice/Tap into your Trucks OEM Wire Harness. This New Push Button is a OEM Replacement and it will connect directly to your factory wiring as it is Plug-N-Play to the 3rd Gen Tacoma Push Start location. The purpose of this Red TRD Push Button is also for visual purposes and to make it standout more from the rest of the Buttons and it makes it more convenient for your use.

REQUIREMENTS:

This will require removing the Climate Control Section out from the middle of your center dash, as well as, a couple other parts like the Bezel around the Stereo to have access to where the Buttons are located. You can remove it completely or just leave this section intact. It is completely up to you. Again, this OEM Toyota Hilux TRD Push Start Button connects directly to the OEM Factory Wiring Harness.

It’s so hard not to @KTJO 4x4 . This is a great little mod but I need to put mod dollars towards added functionality. With only five at the moment, I’m sure they’ll be snapped up.

 

And just to make sure... did you swap the chrome collar for stock black before installing? Or is it a trick of lighting?
