You must have those special diet pins.:D My pins would not "slide right in" as you say. Had to pop off the locking clip first.

    UPDATE:

Well I’m Building a Set of Mirrors Tonight and I figured out a way to do a lot less modding. Yay! I do not have to do anything to the Adjuster Actuator for the 4Runner or the Mirror Glass Now. It stays in its original positions. I do still Modify the circle of the Housing but that’s very minor as you basically go around in a circle and that’s it. You do two modifications on the New Connection Plate, one is for the Turn Signal Connector so it has room to plug in and the other one is to drill a hole for the mounting location for the Adjusting Actuator. That is it people. I’m not really sure what people are referring to when they say they are doing a lot of research and are seeing all of the cutting and modding that is needing to be taking place. I hope they aren’t going to the How To! Threads both on this site and on T4R Site and going off of those writeups and thinking those are what you are having to do for this kit because it’s definitely not. That is a completely different swap. That’s taking two full sets of mirrors and combining them to making power folding mirrors. Mine is a kit made for this build to make it easy. Anyways, just wanted to share the new updates. Pretty excited

@KTJO 4x4 for the record, I'm one of the buyers of the full kit (non-DIY) on the Tacoma and just want to say I'm willing to wait out whatever changes you need to make to the package/instructions before you ship. It seems like you are learning something new every day and the final package may evolve with time.

Better to get it 100% right the first time!

Well the great thing with the Tacoma, we don’t have the issues the 4Runners do with their Adjusting Actuators. Thank God!!! They have the Tacoma front side to their Actuators, but their back side is different for some reason. It is really weird. So instead of having our four mounting holes in the back, they have three. So it throws everything off. Ours is Perfect and matches up with the New Connection Plate!!! We want their Wire Harness. They want our Actuators. Haha. If we could only combine the two.

The Tacoma’s “should” have the Fold, Unfold, and Auto Features built into our Control Module. That’s what I have design. Whereas the 4Runners, unfortunately, I didn’t design because it was already designed before me, has the Fold feature. There is a chance that I may be able to make it so the 4Runners will be able to use my Control Module I designed but I’m not sure. We will see once it is made and I test it for the first time.

    UPDATE:
    1. Just placed my Development Fee with PCBA tonight that will be Developing my Control Kit exactly how I want it for the Tacoma :bananadance:
    2. Look what I will soon be receiving in the mail to test out and see if there is anything I’d like to modify or if we are good to go. 5898C8DC-CB92-4892-ABE0-BFDE7E7B7480.jpg
    3. Currently sourcing all of the OEM Connectors for the Tacoma Wiring Harness and Terminals. Once those get all located, I will get my final Development Fee for the Complete Power Fold Harness for the Tacoma.
    4. ETA coming soon for the Custom Tacoma Extension Harnesses that will have Options for my Customers. I made it just like the 4Runner Extension Harness with the OEM Terminals that are already connected. Option 1: you will be able to just connect the included Black Connects and make it Plug-N-Play. Option 2: you can connect it through your OEM O2 and O3 Connectors if you have the open Pin Space. It will be up to each of you on how you will want to do your wiring and I will ask each of you and help you through it. I will connect one side of the Black Connectors for you if that is your choice prior to shipping to make it easier as well. Anyways, I wanted to provide options and reach everyone’s needs and wants as much as I possibly could. I really think people are going to be pretty pleased when these officially get released.

I got it all lined up now, U/D/L/R are all good. Had the actuators clocked 90deg out. Turned them CCW to fix.

I also went ahead and made an adapter plate which uses all three actuator mounting holes and then attaches to connection plate. This took awhile doing the arts and crafts thing before finally doing it in metal. But my idea actually worked. I'll post some pics later.

Does anyone have a pic of a prototype of this product? I'd like to see the end result before putting my money down on something that could be potentially useful.

Two styles could be from Hilux or Fortuner.
The orientation appears to be for LHD and RHD from other markets.

Yea thanks cencal_taco, I see the parts from Page 1 and how the parts are supposed to work together. I get that. The problem I'm having is while the product being offered is very cool and I'm definitely interested- cutting up the 'Arm controls' on the driver's side armrest is not my idea of stress-relief. I'd like to see a finished product or maybe a video on how this could be prefomed, before dumping will over $500 into a product.

Well one is from the 2015 Model and the other one just came out 2018-2019 model so I had to get it, but it's extremely hard to get and ONLY offered right now in a RH model. I'm actually having a hard time trying to find the right one that has correct back to the switch because so far I have found out there are 3 different versions of this new switch. :) The one I currently have, well I have two of them actually, but he one that works, actually is missing one prong on the top so I need to test it to see if it is needed on our Tacoma or if is something that we do not use. I'm pretty sure that it is our FOLD Wire connection :annoyed:My vendor is currently still looking for the one that does have the prong in that location. Once we find it, it should be easier to locate. It's just tracking it down so we can get the OEM Part No. The other is easier to get and offered in LH and RH model. I'm testing both and then I'm going to go from there. Ideally, I would like the Auto feature Switch. However, if I am not able to get that one, then it will obviously be the first one.

To give the Tacoma Owners a little idea of what features are going to be programed inside the Control Kit:

You will be able to as I am not taking Prepayments for Tacoma Orders yet. I will not be taking those until the harness is complete and all of my previous Batch orders have been sent out and testing is complete. :)
