3rd Gen Tacoma Power Folding Mirrors

i was just going to ask for a link to where you could get the mirrors. I asked my vendor and he can’t get the mirrors either

 

Ye, can not even find an online dealer that has the part.
I'm going to my dealer when I pick up my truck, and ask if they can order it through their system.

If not...
There are also 5 2019 RAV4s at my work. No Limiteds, but 2 adventures....

I can disassemble the mirrors in a minute, they wont know their puddle lights are missing...

Truck has to go back, cause they messed up the paint job....

Anyways, we can order the trim piece separately!
Part number to the driver side mirror is
8794B-42E20/42E00/42E10
Though when I search online, the images all seem to be of a different part.

 

Are you going to try and order them? Would be interesting to see if it will work.

 

My stealership is charging $130+ per trim piece....

But now with the part number, I found the whole listing for the mirror assembly and it's parts.

Sounds like our dealers here. Is your dealer in Guam Servco also? Or is Servco just the distributors for the local dealer?

 

At least its only $54 online.

EDIT: I suppose you will also need to order the camera/puddle light piece also so $110 per side....adding up and this doesnt even include the camera and light i bet.

Is the camera/puddle light cover a separate purchase?
If so, then I wouldn't need it, cause Im going to use Meso's 4runner puddle lights in its place.

The camera and puddle lights are on the same square trim piece.
Like the one below, but to the right is the camera.

Unlike the new 2020 Tacoma's cameras being near the tips of the mirrors.

And it just hit me, if I am going replace the puddle lights with Meso's 4runner puddle lights, then I would not be able to have the camera anyways...

But I believe if the trim piece is meant for the 360 Camera, then it should have the puddle light spot by default.

So whichever trim piece with 360 camera in the details, is the one we are looking for.
Since it will have the hole in the bottom.

It definitely adds up quickly. However, it will be badass!!!

 

I think you should wait and buy my kit when I offer it and it will be the inner section don’t just have the puddle lights and miss out on the cameras. If anything, do the cameras. I’m telling you. It’s pretty frickn cool.

So do you puddle lights on the outside like you want with MESOs puddle lights and then wait and be patient and then buy my kit and switch out the inner section with the OEM replacement section I will be offering in my kit that comes with the side cameras already in the kit

 

I am so torn right now. I will have the power folding mirrors, Meso puddles, and i already bought the side cameras already. I dont know what i should install or not at this point. I know the power mirror for sure, but if i plan to buy the trim piece, i may as well try drilling a hole in the existing Tacoma part and see if that will work for my needs. Or i can wait for KTJOs kit and install a different puddle light on the ends.... first world problems i know!

 

I say if you are thinking of doing the trim piece, return the cameras, sell the MESO Puddles, and do the following:

Install the Power Folding Mirrors

Buy:

Trim Piece
MESO 4Runner Puddles
My Camera Kit

Bam! Plus, then you don’t have your Puddle Lights hitting on your Truck

 

I guess once i get everything in, i can decide at that time. The cameras i bought have a 180degree view so i can see the entire side of the truck instead of just the rear side view. I could buy the kit and change out just the cameras, keep the housings. Oh well. Looking forward to seeing it ready to ship.

 

Yes plus you can adjust these whichever direction you’d like but yeah you can definitely play around with them. That’s what I did. I had my other ones installed. Refused to switch them out. Finally gave in and I’m so glad I did. Mine were the 180 view as well

 

Looks like I need to start a thread this weekend I was attempting to wait for the Inverter Project to get off and running before getting starting this one but it keeps getting delayed and it is getting a little bit frustrating at the moment
