I got 2017 used v6 trd offroad double cab 4x2 for $25,000 (plus ttl) that's $10k off a new truck. I would buy new if I could but I couldn't afford new unless I got a 4 cyl SR model.

In my particular case the truck I got was already modified with $2500 in wheels and tires, OEM bed cover, custom grille, lightbar almost $4,000 in extras.

I have never bought a new vehicle, I always buy used and with a Toyota you have even less to worry about in my experience this is my 4th Toyota and I have never had to do anything other than routine maintenance on them. I hope that is the case with my 2017 but if it's not the money I saved easily covers the extended warranty.

I would never say NEVER buy a used Tacoma, it depends on the car and your situation. I would for sure rather buy a used Tacoma than any other vehicle.
