With all the talk of the Tacoma bed side cracking in the corner near the tailgate I would like to hear from anyone who has had no issues with cracking and has a topper/shell on their 3rd Gen.

I recently purchased a 2019 Tacoma SR5 short bed and am wanting to put an ARE V series topper on it but not wanting to cause the stress cracks.
I do not do any off roading, just my daily driver that is used for hunting/fishing on weekends.

...that and a good suspension if you ever do hit some rough terrain. Helps soften the impact.

Running ARE camper, usually rooftop tent, OME bp51 suspension, bed stiffeners.... and usually on trails every other month for past couple years and no cracks so far. Never know though I guess.

I checked with the local ARE dealer on the weight of an ARE V series for the Tacoma Double Cab short bed and its 165 lbs.
