Yesterday there was a bit of frost and I started the tacoma with the factory remote start.

I made several short trips throughout the morning and the truck started without any issues. On my last stop, the vehicle would not start and the dashboard display said to check electrical system. Although the rest of the electrical system worked, e.g., lights, audio, ..., the starter motor would not turn over. Roadside assistance tried to jumpstart the battery without success. The vehicle, a 2021 model which is only 2 weeks old, was towed to the dealership and hopefully I will get a diagnosis tomorrow.

I saw an earlier thread where this situation has occurred with aftermarket remote installations. I was using the toyota app and all oem parts.

Toyota's always break when new or very old. They'll fix it and it'll be problem free for a long time.
