    Good Lord!

Funny thing my turd gen even with it's fuel pump recall and the TSS recall is boringly reliable. And no issues with either item under recall. I have not bothered to have the dealer look into either recall. So what the engine likes to rev a bit. Rev the damn thing up. If you do you just might find that the 3.5 is not quite as slow as some claim. You bought a SLOW reliable SMALL LIGHT DUTY pickup. Enjoy it for what it is.

It's the same argument people make for cars like BMWs. "derp the e46 was best ...der I'm still looking for the last good M5, the good ol e39". Like ya sure thing boss. Then why does the cheapest 2020 330i keep up with them cars , while being x10000 safer, more comfortable and fuel efficient. Oh cuz technology improves over time.

"but it's not all about pure performance" . Uh what? It's a vehicle not a Hemingway novel.

sorry bud, don't like driving battleships...

    ...and they're ugly

dealership told me the fuel pump recall only affected the 2018-20.

guess that's why i didn't have any issues with either of my 2016. wonder why they changed it in the first place?

I have a '96 with 414,000 trouble-free miles on it and I'm every bit as pleased with my 2018 TRD Sport with 24,000 miles on it. Neither has ever been back to a dealership. All (3) generations of Tacoma are great trucks.

uhh, bro. An auto is way smarter than a manual. It can shift on it's own. A manual has to be helped into every gear like a child. Pathetic. I had one once and just kept it in first until it learned. It never did. Sad

This is true. This discussion has me grasping at straws almost as often as the 3rd gen grasps for gears

FYI- we did our first third gen fuel pump the other day at our dealership. Freaking nightmare. Now we will take off the bed to get to them. Toyota has you drop the tank and everything goes well until it’s time to reinstall. Then the filler neck is damned near impossible to get into the top of the tank due to space issues. The fuel pumps are arriving now. Check your local dealership

Haha, I like that, but I’m not married. I take current girlfriends to swinger parties & find new girlfriends at swinger parties. It’s a vicious cycle.
