3rd gen there's something rolling around inside/around door

There's been something rolling/tumbling around in the rear door area and it's driving me crazy! It's almost like there's a half round object going back and forth when I go over a bump at slower speeds. I check in the door shell, nothing, in the under seat storage, everything's tight. I tried to replicate the sound be opening the door and shaking it, nothing. Anyone run into this before?

 

Have you checked under the rear seats, in the storage there? And behind the seats.

Have you still got sound from the speaker? That small magnet may have gotten knocked loose and rolling around.

 

Run a magnet and/or a probe around the underseat storage. This happened to me once. I only thought I checked the underseat storage bins. There is a void between the plastic frame of the storage bin and the floor. The frame has a rolled lip on the forward side that, say, a lost socket extension can roll under and hide.

Check there first. If not, start pulling parts, seats, door cards, floor trim, etc until you find it or it goes away.

Still got sound coming out of that speaker

 

I didn't realize you could pull the under seat storage pan out!! There was a lugnut key that rolled under it thru the hole in the pan for the bottle jack
