Hey folks, new here. Hailing from the east coast of Americas schlong.

Got my first Tacoma a few weeks ago ('15 prerunner) and I've been studying the forum and it's info like its my job.

I've got some nicer wheels/tires on the way (needed to replace the 3rd world rubber thats on it anyhow) and made sure they fit thanks to the forum.

That said I'd like to level the front up a bit and replace the 113k mi struts/springs without going crazy (my ranger was lifted and a horror on the hwy... I'm over that sh) ...so I found a local fella with some 2020 TRD OR's with about 4k on em before he went to Fox - I procured em for 160 which seemed a fair price.

Picked em up today, they look great but one of the rears (which he did divulge to me) is missing the bushing and the nut.

Will my current OEM struts be able to have the bushings/nut removed to place on the new setup or should I buy new bushings for a full freshie... and if so whats a good brand?

Thanks to the 3 to 2 gen susp swap thread I went this route - great info

Welcome to Tacoma World. If you are talking about the upper bushing insulator that gets sandwiched in between the washers where it mounts to the frame then yes they should be the same 2nd gen and 3rd gen with stock shocks. I did a quick search and came up with part number 90540-A0007. Pretty cheap, you can get them at the dealer or your local parts store. Should be able to re-use the original washer and nut (or if it's a lock nut you can probably get one of those locally too).

Thanks for the heads up and the part number, that'll give me a leg up

Guess I might as well get some new ones since those bushings rot and dry up after awhile.... atleast on the Rangers they do

I found this thread during a search for part numbers too. I thought I'd post up in case others were looking.

    The part numbers are:
    Bottom Bushing 90540-A0008
    Top Bushing 90540-A0007

They're $6-$7 each. I found all 4 on ebay for around $27 shipped. OEM from a toyota dealer.
