That’s arithmetic, Billy Madison. Math is higher register stuff. Like Calc. Calc is math. Multiplication is arithmetic.

Your use of the preposition “on” made it seem like you were saying the 3rd gen was doodoo, also. Delete the “on” and your doodoo post probably says what you wanted it to say originally.

I've had 01 taco, 06 tundra, 23 taco and now 24 taco. I miss the 01 and 06 the most, but I'm thoroughly satisfied with the 24. There were things I'd need to get modded on the 23 to make it complete that the 24 just has. Tune, tailgate lock, bed lights, seat lifter, wireless phone adapter, and probably more.
What I do miss about the 23 is the instrument panel, analog. And the physical buttons on the main screen. The new all digital and touch isn't my favorite. It's okay though. The 23 panel options were better too. The overall look of the 23 was a nice balance of classic and future. The 24 is all future and maybe a bit too many contours.
The 24 interior is smart. It all makes sense. The ride position is greatly improved, feels more upright and like there's more head room. Cubbies everywhere and the phone holder/charge is brilliant. Got Sunglass case in the top again!
The 24 power and torque and 4 wheel drive performance is all greatly improved. Ride is more comfortable and stopping power is improved. Lots of safety features with minimal upgrades to the 23. Gas mileage is better with addition of eco and sport modes. The drive modes make a big difference.
Nearly everything is better. We'll see about reliability.
It's late, I'm tired and ranting. Though i think i could talk for hours about all the Toyota trucks.

Bought the 2024 Tacoma SR5 Base 4x4 8spd in Underground. Just paid off the 16 Taco.

Had a 91 2WD Pickup MT, 99 4WD Ext Cab Tacoma V6 Blown MT, 02 2WD Ranger Ext Cab 4cyl MT, 12 F150 STX Ext 4WD Auto, and a 16 2WD Access Cab Tacoma 4cyl. All had Deaver Springs Softest leaf pack and various Bilsteins. I felt the ride quality always sucked, even with softer Deavers.

Was originally sold on the D41 Frontiers, as I rented one and it was so smooth, quiet, and fast. As a sanity check, I was gonna wait for the 24 TRD Prerunner inventory to test, and seeing under leaf springs looked attractive.

But then, two days ago I thought, how does the rear coil springs feel? How cheap of a model does these springs come equipped? Test drove the cheapest model 4WD with the coils, and came home with it that day.

I’ve been on a quest for a soft rear end, and in the last 20 years, haven’t found a soft enough combo, even the J66 wasn’t soft enough. This coil is hella soft, ride feels like a mini van.

I feel the same way! Had 23 sport premium for 1.5 years only and it was the most uncomfortable and laggy thing I’ve owned. The 24 sport premium is amazing. Test drove it and never looked back!

My 2023 trd off road was totalled, just got into my 2024 trd off road. Both manual transmission. I've only driven it 175 miles, but the 2024 is a huge upgrade over the 2023.
I lost power seats, rear slider, and power in the bed and this 2024 is still better in every way. Hoping it lasts.

I’m super tempted because of the powertrain but feel I’m too deep into making my 3rd gen very good. Already geared, tuned, bumpers, 35s, rear long travel, etc. All that’s left to ensure I never sell it is front long travel, supercharger, and a pair of scheel-mann cooled seats…

I don't think anyone buys Tacoma's for performance, but my gosh my 3g was dog slow even equip with the v6, so while the 4g is not sports car fast..lol..I'm really enjoying it so far. So yes it was worth the upgrade for me.

I have had my 24 SR5 long bed for a week now. I have owned 2 gen 3s, but have been driving a Ram the last couple weeks because the 3g powertrain was not fun towing. They have hit a home run with the 4g. Acceptable power, climbs hills without shifting, comfortable, and I am getting amazing mileage. I’ve never got over 20 in either of my gen 3s, but just got back from a trip and averaged 25 mpg.

more people need to do a direct comparison driving a 3rd gen vs 4th gen vs 4th iforce max.. id like to see how much more the hyrid gives it. and not just dead stop 0-60mph. i mean like 30-70 roll ons an the sort.
i feel more people would be interested in the hybrid then. all the main stream reviewers seem to leave that out. they will just do a little pull and say wow that feels faster but on camera that means nothing and the viewer gets nothing from it.

As someone who wants a 6 foot bed and a truck that fits in my garage (i.e. Xtracab) I have nothing but middle fingers for the 4th gen.
