Anyone have any recommendations for toolboxes? I’ve found a few online but wanted opinions from everyone on here.

Happy with my UWS. Definitely recommend the DeeZee tie downs.

UWS in my truck. This one is 13 years old and I pulled it out of my 06 Taco to put in this one.

Thanks a lot guys. I forgot to mention I’m looking for one that doesn’t taper down at the bottom of the box. I’ve got a long bed so no need to worry about clearing the fender wells

Actually, you do need to worry about it, some of the deeper toolboxes will hit the wheel well, even with the long bed. The UWS low-profile non-beveled toolbox is too deep, even with a long bed. I went with a 60-inch wide one, because it would fit without hitting the wheel wells and I wanted it inset from the edge of the truck bed.

I wasn’t aware of that, thanks for the info. However, I’m not looking for a very deep box. I’m just looking for a low profile non beveled box

I have a short bed and got the UWS low profile. Had to get rid because I needed a bed cover and combination of short bed and odd size meant no bed covers.

I found some that are part of a canopy clamp for Tacomas or Tundras. They are aluminum and machined to fit in the bedrails perfectly. I have the same UWS like cubie in post #4 and the J hooks that came with the box are basically useless if you want put weight in the box. It is a toolbox after all.
    These ones definitely aren't.
