Some of the local dealers are sending me flyers to try and buy my '18 DCSB Limited, so I took a look and was surprised to see the trade-in values.

Has anyone else "flipped" their 3rd gen and seeing these kind of trade-in values?

I flipped my 15 2wd using the same type of ad in 2017.

I got a ton for my 2wd second gen .
With trade I paid less for my 2017 4x4. I did it because of mileage , amount left till payoff , needed new tires, brakes, shocks, diff change , etc. The main reason was able to get into a Tacoma 4x4 for less than a 2wd. I currently owe 11k on my 17. I think I’m in the positive side if I want to flip it in 2020! Lol

Certainly looks profitable, if I didn't buy another Tacoma. As the current models are over $40k.

I was quoted somewhere in the neighborhood of $30k for trading in my '18 DCSB Limited. I bought it new for much less than that in Jan. of 2018.

Hmm, I call BS on the purchase price. I’ll be happily proven wrong...

Edit: I took the liberty of checking your past posts....
“Last week I purchased a 2018 Limited DCSB Blazing Blue Pearl without any dealer installed options $38,110 sticker. $33,991 before TTL, etc.“

Leads me to believe your “somewhere in the neighborhood” is much closer to 25 than 30.

    -10k.....Flip away, lol

    11,000.

You’re right, it feels like I bought it for less because of the equity on the trade-in but it was a hair shy of $34k.

These local dealerships are sending out fliers offering up to $32k for a trade-in. Which is subjective to their condition inspection, which is why I said somewhere in the neighborhood of $30k, but even still that is in line with the online trade-in estimates.
