    Sooooo,
I was fortunate enough to own a 2023 tacoma sport v6/6spd auto, my 4th owned tacoma. This 2023 truck is absolutely annoying the crap outta me. Anywhere between the speeds of 40mph thru 65mph (the fastest I’ve had it) it shudders (like it’s missing out) when I’m trying to maintain a constant speed, it’s like it’s in overdrive and won’t willingly down shift until I press on the gas but then it shifts back and the same thing all over again, this is soo f-ing annoying I could scream! Had it to the dealer, they verified the symptom and I was told it’s just a common problem and they would file yet another costumer complaint with Toyota. Has anyone else experienced this frustrating problem/issue ? I can’t believe it would be a well known issue and Toyota has done nothing about,

The auto transmission shifting is probably the most talked about subject surround the 3rd gen Tacoma. You had to have read something about it before purchasing.

I could write a book about all the things I shouldn't have had to do with this truck. It is what it is.

    That's the truth.

And as said, tune it. Read up on it , and also read up on if the dealer can detect it, then just spend the money.
Transmission is the most hated thing here and everyone I have seen says a tune fixes it. Fixes a lot more then that actually

Have you tried driving the truck in diesel mode?

Most definitely. This truck wasn't what I expected at all. I planned on modding the hell out of it anyway so most all of the issues are fixed to my liking by now, but I really expected it to be more polished from the factory.

Don't buy a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge then. They have the same basic issues. It's all about fuel economy and emissions.

every truck on the road is designed for best emmissions, its the customers who get the ass end of the deal. if tou want a tranny that does what you tell it to do get a truck prior to all the electronic crap they put in it. now you see why old cars are going up in value.
