I tried searching but didnt find an answer. Anyone use the 3rd gen (2016-2021) Tacoma TRD Pro floor mats in a 2nd gen (specifically 2012-2015)

They will probably fit, ish, but I doubt the stay holes will line up with the grommets in the factory carpet, and I can tell just by glancing at it the rear profile is completely wrong for a second gen floor pan.

If you're getting them for free there's no harm in seeing how they look installed, but I wouldn't spend my money on them. Even if I knew for a fact they fit I wouldn't they look a lot shorter both on the sides and front back then the husky liners do and I think the Huskies are better IMHO.

    Huskies for reference.

You can see the rear profile is straight and how high they go as well as how far forward, they even spill over the door sill a little bit.

Yeah good point on the rears looking different, I didnt even notice.

Huskies are good. I have the 3d Maxpiders installed currently and like them. But man these TRD mats look pretty neat. Oh well
