Got mine installed but no pics yet. Tried to wrap my hood scoop and it came out like crap. Tried to plastidip and I guess it is too cold because it came out with a rough texture, ugh.

Yeah I’m familiar with it and have used it plenty in the past. I think the can was just too cold. I’ll eventually peel it off and try again once it warms up. Not really noticeable from 10ft away lol.

Just as a quick tip for anyone doing the install, you will definitely want to try and have two people when doing this, it just makes it easier to peel the big decal off the backing paper and get it placed on the hood.

Also, I would STRONGLY suggest to install with a wet method, this helps get it positioned perfectly and eliminate bubbles or imperfections. I used a couple drops of Johnson's baby soap mixed with water, since it is not as harsh as a regular dish soap...I used a clay bar with the baby soap mixture to clean the paint best I could, then after getting it wiped down I sprayed a liberal amount of the mixture back on the hood and on the back of the decal before placing it on the hood. Once it is placed on the hood (carefully with two people) it is easy to move it around and get it positioned just right. Then, from the center working out, use a squeegee or credit card to work out the soap mixture. If using a credit card, I would wrap it with a microfiber towel so you don't scratch the vinyl. Double check it for any bubbles and you are done. Easy!

    Hey!
First post has a link to the 2nd gen thread. I don’t cut it out but it’s a separate decal to apply on top. This is to keep the hood scoop in 1 pc for ease of install and durability

Has anyone put these black hood scoop decals on a Blazing Blue Pearl? I think it looks great on the other colors shown but curious how it would look on the blue.
