Thanks man, I love it. Just recently finished the rear trailing arms and they are working so awesome. We did a ton of trails out in Johnson Valley and the Sami is beat from wheeling the past few weeks getting ready for KOH.

On 37’s? The biggest problem you would face is approach/departure angles.

You might be able to do liberty backwards and back out liberty.

I’ve seen people do it in Jeep’s with 35’s, but it was ugly.

See how Jake’s rig almost smashes the front? His rear was already dragging long before touching down. It’s expected with leaf springs but if you have sheet metal back there....

Wonder how the long trucks would do on the far left side? (Drivers left)
And remember kids, when you cut up your unibody if you don't care it you get lots of body flex ha ha. Not my rig just one there that day.

Other than the big rock slide toward the junction with patriot, has liberty changed much? I know the entrance is dug out, but hard to wear away the majority of the trail. From what I remember its just like motown trails, nice and tight.
Would be fun to drop the trucks down indy and if needed bail on freedom. That first drop is always great to see what rubs or doesnt

Well I would be shocked if I didn’t need to winch. But define body damage. Like are we talking fenders/bedsides or doors?
In that situation my truck would just drag shackle hangers until my rear bumper took over

    @In4aride

Things have changed a little down there on bunker hill.

Once the initial drop is over, the rest is a bit easier IMO.

On the last bit here, staying to the drivers side will keep a full bodied rig away from that rock on the passenger side that would be a can opener. Positioning would be everything. We had to Austin Powers it just before the last part to get the best angle.

Doable...sure. (Indy>Liberty) I was actually a little shocked at the exit of Liberty. Our last night run was in September and it has changed a bit from then.

Some careful spotting and a low traffic day would be optimal. On Sunday we got into the biggest traffic jam I have ever seen at the A-Hole. Guess the rather large group going up patriot assumed we were not coming up Patriot. There was a broken down YJ (front drive shaft) right before the A-hole as well. Just to get by we kissed some tires:D . The lady in the passenger seat wasn’t amused.

Yeah now that the big rock that used to be right on front of you in bottom pic is gone, really opens things up. Its always been a what do you want to drag on the way down. What sucks is no one ever gets pics or anything of liberty because its just so continuous, no real stand out spots (aside from rockslide). I think its a lot like topless out here.

I say give it a go. Walk it first (Indy and bunker hill) and if you don’t want to go forward, you can take Freedom out.

I agree nobody takes pics of Liberty. Pretty fast paced. Should mount the GoPro on the cage and capture outings.

Yeah, that used to be the go to order for deciding what to run with small rigs. I know there is a few spots where being long makes it a pain in the ass to line up on liberty, but shouldnt be any worse than stuff out here. Dropping bunker will require running however you land, as I dont think there will be the room or availability to back up and get repositioned.
Not like it matters for me any time soon, truck is in tear down mode :sawzall:

So I heard that insurance totaled the truck due to fuel contamination. So this wasn't a 3.5L issue then?

That was my obs. Diesel tanks were 25%+ gasoline The Tacoma is a reward from the 3.5 oil issues
