Hmm.. this actually got me thinking what the easiest swap would be aside from the turd.5, these things are so computerized I can’t imagine anything being an easy swap without it costing an arm and a leg.

    Bunch o stuff.
Easiest swap? Probably an 4.0 from 2nd gen. Yea the whole harness would have to be swapped as well. Figure it probably runs similar paths and routes as the 3rd.
The engine mounts would have to be cut and re done. Still an involved but not as crazy as a LS swap I’d think.
Still I’d take a aluminum LSX block and build up that.
    Can’t replace Displacement.

Considering there are swap companies out there where you get the engine, trans, harnesses, tcase ecu tuned and all the security stuff killed an LS, Ford, or hemi swaps are pretty damn easy. You can go from around 4g to 20g ready to swap. All you have to do is plumbing and mounts. The newish 4.3 v6 ls based engine is rather appealing too being small and lightweight and makes really good power like 4.0 supercharged territory N/A.

Damn. That’s makes it easy then. I haven’t looked up swaps or how the engines are progressing since I left the go fast scene.
I do like the sound of the new 5.0 Coyotes though.
