What is the info about the BTF lowers? Are they planning to make a regular travel LCA for the 3rd Gen Tacoma? If so what are the features besides being stronger, and uniball joint?

ohhhhhh yea. .75 - 1.00” forward. The goal is to start fitting 37’s easily, and 35’s with no cutting. They are also not uniball.

Oh, I like this! I am planning on a re-gear to 5.29, front locker and 35s next year. I was thinking on going with the skinny 35s 35x10.5R17 from Kenda to avoid cutting as much, but will still need a CMC, and pinch weld. If the BTF lowers would let me fit 37s I would consider skipping 35s all together. I would expect they would be compatible with the SPC UCAs I have. I will have to keep an eye on fitment with the BFT lowers when they are released.

With my SPCs I fit 35’s easy on stock lowers. The BTFs should fit 37’s

I am getting my BAMF hybrid front bumper next month so that should eliminate most clearancing in the front. CMC and pinch weld next. Did you remove the fender liners completely? Trim your flares? I don't want a snorkel but I did see a tread on a cowl airbox mod that would mitigate the water from not running fender liners.

Eesh. This thread needs more wheeling pics and less blah.
Here's some non 3g wheeling to fill the void.

Not as gnar as some of you guys here but I’m getting there. Managed to send a stock TRD OR through Gold Mountain (jeep badge of honor trail in Big Bear Ca).

No real issues, I did get winched at the spot on the obstacle in the pic below. It’s right after the Boneyard. My CBI skids hang down low, got caught up on the exhaust drop down. My brother made it over this obstacle with problems at all in a stock 1st gen Taco, just stick further to the right than I am in this picture. If you have a lift you will find it isn’t too bad of a trail, but everything was doable at stock ride height. An experienced spotter is required (especially if close to stock). All in all the easy lines are doable in a stock Taco. They look intimidating as hell though, but it was a fun trail.

Rubicon, trail is pretty straight forward, harder obstacles are fun. Tried my best on soup bowl, almost wiggled up but it was pretty dug out by the time I tried. Buddy in a similar 2nd gen made it up on 35s/lt front/same rear setup as me
