Any places you recommend? I always travel 2-3 hours for decent trails. Maryland is terrible trail wise and I pretty much wheel outside the state for the most part. Hitting uwharrie in October hopefully!

I usually go to Windrock Park in Oliver Springs , TN. I have a annual land use permit and it’s only 160 miles from my driveway. It’s a huge coal mining companies property close to Knoxville, TN. 100’s of miles of trails and over 70k acres. AOP in South Pittsburgh, TN is a tiny place in comparison, but lots of fun with some insane shit too. Rarely are any trails for a Jeep or Taco truly green other than how they’re colored on the maps.

I was just on their website configuring a 4 speed model. I think this might be the way to go. A bit more than a marlin box, but it’ll be a one time thing.

Yeah and I am far from good at sheet metal welding. I got the firewall patched over the weekend and am hoping to get the inner fender done and trim the fender/flare this weekend. Then it’s on to the drivers side

I'm curious how you got out of that. Winch is sideways or cut down the tree are the first things that come to mind.

yea f that, I don’t have the balls to start cutting my fenders yet. Even with my 33s I rub pretty much the entire inner fender when stuffed and full lock, just not enough to tear the tire up or care right now haha. That would be a different story with 35’s or 37’s.

Only time I’ve see them let go is extremely high HP on sticky 40s in a heavy rig or running them without oil will also do it.

With 35s I just used SPC uppers to max out my rear lower cams for firewall clearance, trimmed the fenders, and moved the firewall and inner fender as much as I could with a 10lb sledge. They still rubbed a hair all around. 37s is a whole can of worms

Right on, man! The weekend I slapped my Relentless Fab Hi-Clearance bumper, my brothers and i went to the Rubicon... SAME thing happened to me... Landed hard on a rock and the bumper pushed up against the rear quarter panel and wrinkled / folded it bad... Oh well, its all about the memories, right?

that’s right, I was a little butt hurt for a few days and figured screw it I bought the truck to daily and wheel every chance I get. damage is going to happen it’s just a matter of when if you wheel it.

Did the "responsible" thing, left the trail and tree as is and didn't cut it down. Ended up pulling the valve core and winching the truck sideways from 2 other trucks w/ snatch blocks.

I think that is some low hanging fruit! I think the hitch skids are pretty well proven at this point. That being said, I ended up tearing up my bedsides and went with a high clearance rear bumper. That also being said, I got tired of beating up my daily driver and bought a Samurai...

What setting did you use for your SPC uppers?

Are you keeping the SPCs for the 37s?

I scored a rare and no longer made TG gear driven case thats got a doubler. Atlas cases you can have them configured any way you want and they have adapters.

Not sure how well you can see it but the ball joint is pushed forward and in. I believe it is one setting in from straight forward

absolutely. They have been awesome so far and allow for better firewall clearance
