That’s basically what you find in most high end sports car these days. They work quite well when designed correctly.

One of the first things to make this engine sound good is to use equal length y-pipes. Any decent muffler will sound good in conjunction with it. On mine, I used resonators to remove higher frequencies from the exhaust while the larger pipe helped with lower tones. Same thing with the muffler, get rid of high frequency and keep low frequencies. All while keeping flow high. My exhaust actually gets quieter as the RPM increases. It’s louder around the pipes resonant frequency, which in my case is right around 2500-3000 rpm. It doesn’t match the inside the truck resonance frequency, so it isn’t too bad (drone) but it can be tuned out to even out the overall exhaust note from low to high rpm.

I’d try the stock y-pipe (w/ cats) first. You won’t notice much of a performance decrease, since you have catless dump tubes and you got rid off the very restricting OEM muffler. It will reduce the overall volume, which is what you are after. Or replace the dump tubes with catted versions and add either a long resonator or the flo-pro twister muffler prior to the muffler, while keeping the urd y-pipe. Different ways to go about, it just depends on what you want it to sound like and how much money you are willing to spend to get there!

Ok gotta admit I tried to get an exhaust shop to copy your Y-pipe. Got hit by the cat thieves but only the rear cats but they cut right before the rear o2 sensors. Issue I’m have is CEL randomly keep popping on me throwing a P0402 code. Did you run into any of these issues?
