Hi there, just replaced plugs, air filter and cleaned throttle body at 115000. This was last week and engine seems to be running smoothly, yet my mpg seems to be 1 to 2 mpgs lower than before tune up. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
2016 TRD sport 4x4 dcsb all stock.
Oem plugs, Fram engine air filter.
Do these trucks need throttle body to be reprogrammed? If I take it to the dealer I'm sure they'll charge an arm and a leg just to do that or diagnose.
    Thanks.

May need a few more than a few miles for things to get back to norm. :)

    That won't work.
It needs to be reset in Techstream.

Dealer or mechanic that can access it with a capable universal device/program.

    Menu access looks like...
Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / Learning Value Reset,
Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / Fuel Density Learning Value Reset,

I'm inclined to believe you are experiencing winter gas woes.
Where are you located? What was your fill schedule prior to replacement?

I second the opinion of winter gas woes. Mine dropped from 22mpg to about 20mpg in the last week. Average temp outside dropped 10-15 degrees also.

As far as I know, no, or any other TOYOTA vehicle. The only thing I’m aware of is the injectors need to be checked and balanced if necessary with tech-stream if you replace any.

Most likely it’s just a coincidence or chain of events. The weather is changing, fuel mixtures are re-formulated for temperature, and tires need their psi checked. My tire pressure has dropped, and my mpg have too.

Moreover, it does not seem like you did anything wrong because if you had, chances are a little light on the dash would tell you so.

    Cheers!

Forgot to mention, after finishing forgot to plug throttle body sensor back after finishing. Obviously underpowered and lit up like a Christmas tree. After checking and reconnecting tips to throttle body it drove normally and chk engine lights disappeared.

Just spoke to a service representative and was told that numbers could be off bc of new parts replacement and it would reset itself. He said connecting truck to their system wouldn't do anything and close to $200.00 just for connect to it.

Pretty hard to tell 1-2 MPG is a pretty small percentage
