I hear you, but they do mention it fits 2013-2017. Haven't followed up with them on the 16+ applications yet, but they do mention it on their site.

What about the 2018 Lexus LS500?

It is a 3.5L TT V6 but couldn't goggle any info on engine or code.

"Lexus designed an all-new 3.5-liter V6 engine specifically for the new 2018 LS 500, using twin

turbochargers developed through the company’s F1 technology".

On the LS 500h the brochure points to the 2GR FKS

the LS500 3.5L shares some things, but majority of things are different, better / more complex designed than the FKS. Right now information is limited but I did get to inspect one up close. It has the same single port cylinder head, possible chance of the same flange type, which would mean OEM turbos would bolt to the tacoma engine.

At this point, if you want more power and are set on keeping the truck you're best off dropping in an LS. You'll be so far down this rabbit hole for self discovered R&D and components it will be more economically feasible to outright buy a crate engine with a stand alone ECM. You'll get a far more capable engine with all the reliability of the stock unit. Unless you have a literal bucket of money and a great independent tuner shop that specializes in new Toyotas, I'd not even consider this, it's so far outside even the enthusiasts capability.

sure you can, just like you can turbo charge a turbo with a sport..in case of land speed records being broken..

As far as the trans goes, I believe that it has been confirmed that it is the same trans used overseas mated to a V8 with more power than we would likely see with a mild boost turbo setup.

I think OP is an obvious troll, but if not, why on earth would you buy a 4,700 lb truck with a economy sedan motor stuffed in it in order to spend 10k more to add turbos???

wrong platform to make fast IMO.

Different strokes. Some like to be different. Some just think it’s cool. My buddy put a Mercedes diesel into a 1gen 4Runner. It was fantastic off road. He loved it. He grew out of the motor and swapped in a 1uz. Why did he do it? Because he could and he wanted to. Some would have said just swap an LS motor and be done...he didn’t want to. OP wants to twin turbo, ovtune has already brought up he is looking into that exact option. Why? Because some people would like it.

    Hell yes!

I would sent $8,000 and boost it!
I like to play with my toys. I like the sleeper factor.

I own 2 boosted cars, do my own builds and race them.

    Warranty, what is that?

I like this guy! We think alike sir. I like the build aspect as much as I like driving around in a modded vehicle. Especially when you have mods that make the vehicle objectively better like turbos. Or chassis/suspension/brakes mods for more :burnrubber:

Yes I have seen all the 3.5 internals thoroughly(I have worked in the 3.5 cam, crank, and connecting rod machining lines @tmmwv) the crank is forged steel the rods I'm not sure I think they are forged as well but I really don't know they come in as blanks from a supplier.

ehh I already OWN my tacoma though so its like 8K for turbos and other impending supporting mods im guessing, or 46k for a whole new truck. Id rather just make the taco faster and then watch people's faces when they see a flying taco

I would wait a little for those LS500 TT to hit the salvage yard in a couple years. By then you’re already out of warranty and payments. $2500 $3000 straight dropping engine comes with hpfp, intercooler and ecu . Sell your old engine back on cl to recoup. Solid
