See post #29 here for the comparison:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/headlight-upgrade-2017-trd.575174/page-2#post-19035062

The H9s produce more lumens but the GEs do a more efficient job at projecting output. Id try both on the street, but all measurements indicate the GEs will do better. If dedicated to halogen, I’d add the standalone harness to further boost output but ~16%.

My GE Megalight Ultra +130 arrived yesterday...hoping to get some time to install them on Monday. They're made in Hungary, does that sound right?

I do not believe the harness comes with the connector, but you could email and ask to see if anything changed. At the time it was because their supplier did not carry the required connector.

When I measured the Flosser vs custom glare capped H9s in the fogs they had the same lux rating. Comparing the GEs vs the H9s in the headlights, the GEs perform better. So while the Flossers would put out more light, I believe the GEs will perform better. If going with high power output vs higher efficiency, the H9s would a more effective choice at lower heat and likely better hotspot than the 90w Flossers. I do not presently have a power supply capable of running the 90w Flossers for a measured comparison in the headlights, but will in the near future for a different thread.

    That is correct.

Assuming you get it with the connector, you just unplug both headlights, plug the harness into the OEM harness on the driver side, connect the harness to both headlights and then connect it to the battery. If you follow the fog thread, there is a suggested relay upgrade. It comes with a relay, so no need to purchase one, but the relay is a Hella Chinese unit. There is a European Bosch relay upgrade for only a few dollars off Amazon.

Crash.....just spoke to Mike and Will at Rallylights......they still make harness and it has connectors with relay......Relay is probably from China and since it is plug-in, i will replaces with the Bosch you recommended.....i’m just going to leave the HID dynamics harness in place but disconnect from battery and from the OEM harness......I will then plug OEM plug into new harness, plug in lights and attach ground and battery leads......it also has an in-line 20amp fuse.....this way, i still have the option to go back to HID if i want.....will let you know how things work out.....thats for all the help and guidance.....makes it so much easier when people like you are willing to share.....thanks

I did the rallylight harness, with the Bosch relays and installed it just after Christmas. The other night when I got off work, the headlights did not come on. Tried flick it on/off a few times and still no lights. Good thing I live just 5 min drive from work and used my fog lights, just city driving. Didn't want to trouble shoot in -20C so I just drove the truck home. Next morning it came on intermittently a few times. I replaced the Bosch relay with the Hella relay that came with the harness. no trouble since. I ordered another Bosch relay. I did the same harness with the wife's Sienna at the same time too and no trouble with that harness/Bosch relay. Since installation of the the harness, I keep the hella relays in the Tacoma/Sienna just for that reason and I can always disconnect the harness and use the oem connectors. Little disappointed that the Bosch relay failed early.

That is surprising. I've heard of plenty of the Hella relay failures, but that is the first Bosch relay failure I've heard. Have you considered trying the Philips H9 bulbs instead of the Flossers? The smaller filaments will offer better focus and should have higher peak intensity. Covered in post #2 of this thread:

I use the Philips H9 bulbs in our vehicles. I think the harness gives it just a bit more light than with the factory wiring, subjectively though. So far I am very happy with the results.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure which you were running. Yes the harness should provide a small bump in output over the factory wiring.
