    I was having second thoughts on putting the bolt in backwards. But after seeing this picture of the new Tacoma showing the bolt backwards I think it should be fine as others have stated.

    I just ground down the bolt flange enough to slide it through on the battery (tougher) side. @EatSleepTacos loctite wouldn't hurt, but I haven't heard of anyone running their truck hard having it come loose - desert guys jumping their trucks etc. even.

    I think if I was going to do this I would drill a small hole in the bolt and drop a cotter pin in it just incase the nut did loosen up.
