For those that have put the USB port in the glove box how did you route it? Did you drill a hole in the glove box?

When i installed my stereo i ran the 2nd USB to the passenger area to place it in the glove box in the future. Now im just need to find a good way to get in there.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have an aftermarket kenwood, never thought I'd have trouble getting in the glove box. Can't find a way in.

I don't have a USB cable routed to the glovebox, but if I did, the least invasive way would be to cut a slot in the cabin filter access door.

Get a usb extension cable then you could run it just about anywhere you want.

It's easy to do. If I remember correctly I removed the headunit and was able to reach down and tap on the side of the glove box and get an idea of where to drill a hole. Bought the cable/ port below. Plugged it in the OEM plugs and left that behind the dash.

I did, I eventually clipped a corner of the air filter door and ran my cable through there. It's a more reversal solution than a hole in a non replaceable part.
