    few things here and there.
I had a tick, not as aggressive but similar, in my 2nd gen.

I remember going on YouTube at the time and saw this video. I too am curious on the outcome.

Edit: I did read the entire thread. I’m hoping the motor was swapped, and our OP got a payment paid or something. Crazy ride.

so they did my vacuum pump... sound still there. Now they are going to swap injectors....is an injector change pretty invasive? Not sure how I feel about tearing into an engine with 1100kms

Sorry the noise is still there. I wonder if all the parts make the same noise. I’m trying to get mine replaced right now since I’m at 12k mikes and 1 year. I get a knock from the vacuum pump which is behind the passenger engine valve cover and HPFP. It starts to knock when you press the brakes a few times at idle and parked.
I did this and recorded videos at difference times (after getting home and stopped on the side of the road, and cold start).
The way to check from TSB-0115-22 instructs (which was superseded to not include the Tacoma this past March for some odd reason) to pump the brakes 3 times and then check for noise once the pump builds enough pressure. A lot of tacomas on the road have this issue and the drivers I feel are unaware.

They found my cylinder #3 lifter was sticking, they replaced the lifter and back to normal.

So I actually never got to listen to/watch the video you posted since it’s unavailable now. Could you repost a link possibly so I can listen? Thank you.
