    Hi

I have been having issues with my Tacoma. Water seems to be leaking into the cab of my truck. The water ends up pooling on the floor mats. I also check the fuse box under the drivers side and it’s all wet which is concerning. Any advice?

Ok but could the water travel all the way under the dash from the 3rd brake light?

    Both floor mats?

    Is the AC filter wet?

Sounds like a windshield or cowl leak to me.

Pitch black night. Assistant under hood with uber bright light. You under dash looking for said light. That's where the leak is.

How would I test to make sure it would be a leaky 3rd brake light?

Remove the mats. Get in the truck. Have someone hit the brake light with a hose. If you see nothing coming in move to the windshield. And so on. Do it in one of the bays at the car wash. Use the high pressure wand on rinse position.

Did you have the window defroster set to the on position with truck off . Common problem with moisture leaking in.

Water can travel in the craziest ways. It trickle runs down different paths. Makes it hard to trace. But if you take your time. 2 people and a hose you can find it. The 3rd brake light is notorious on the 16s for leaks. Look at the headliner up in that area for a slight stain. Hard to see on grey but in the right light or taking pictures with your phone you should see it if it's there.

Mine was doing the same after I installed a light bar. Somehow water got into the harness all the way from front bumper and it would leak into the cab by the break pedal.

Prinsu design studios cab rack with 40 inch light bar.
Its definitely the 3rd brake light. I installed my prinsu roof rack at the same time my brake light decided to start leaking. I for sure thought I didn't put enough silicone in the factory holes when I bolted on the rack. I pulled my hair out trying to find the leak thinking it was the roof rack. Turns out it was the brake light.
