I’ve been told there isn’t any fit issue using 3rd gen wheels but that the tpsm is not compatible. Has anyone found a work around? Is it possible to put the tpsm from my second gen rims onto the new pair? Any insight is appreciated

I have 3rd gen wheels on my 13 OR and I reused my tpms, no issues.

There are a lot of people selling them on Craigslist and let go. A lot of people are trying to get a grand which is insane. I found them for 350. I saw a pair for sale earlier for 300 but they were only online for a few hours before it was posted as sold

Yeah, they really suit the body style of the 1st and 2nd gen trucks. I picked up a set off Marketplace with tires and lugs for $400 (no TPMS).

Even the 4 Runner Wheels have zero fitment issues.

The steel tpms will fit but you have to rotate them 180° because of the angle. I had a shop mount them without tpms sensors in, and I installed them afterwards. It's a pain and next time I get new tires I'll get the correct angle tpms.

No mechanical mods. Minor convience and useability tweaks.
If you google "wheel size calculator"...and compare Gen 2 year wheels with Gens 3 year wheels.. you'll find that all the specs are exactly the same.
