Not positive exactly what went wrong. Temp too hot or not hot enough? Too much tugging on them? Either way they ended up pretty warped and nothing lined up anymore. I could have clamped them down and glued them but they would have looked like hell under the hood and probably not sealed.

Picked mine up Saturday after a long day at the dealership. Step bars will be here here next week and going to look for a topper on Saturday and pick up some parts from the dealership. Can't wait to start the project.

Had the taco for 2 week. I got couple accessories to it. So far so good with the vehicle, wish it has more room.

Fixed JBL audio passender door rattle with felt between door and switch plate. Reseated driver side body mount behind passenger seat to fix annoying clicking/creaking sound.
My 17 DC Limited 4x4 AT came off the truck on May 5th and I bought it on May 6th.

Finally back in a Tacoma after 5yrs. Been waiting for my build for nearly 2mo and wasn't expecting to take delivery for another 2 weeks. My sales guy wasn't made aware that the build date got pushed up a week as well and when he got into work this Friday it arrived. At the same time I got an email from etune saying welcome to the toyota family and that my account needs to be set up. Right when I was going to call and check on the status my sales guy texts me saying your truck is here. Anyway, she's finally home.

Here's the specs: DCLBOR with Premium JBL package, navigation and added the bedcover and roof rack. My sales guy threw in the bed mat, all weather mats and exhaust chrome tip.

First two mods and this will probably be it for at least a year....maybe: Ordered a week ago Mobtown DCLB bolt on rock sliders with kickoff, fill plates powder coated and just order 265/75/16s Cooper STT Pros.

Follow me as our family adventure begins in offroad/overlanding on IG: @rogermacanas

I want to thank everyone on here for the millions of posts, experiences, pros and cons and the hilarious back and forth discussions on everything taco related and off subjects. I have learned a lot and hope I can begin to contribute as my build progresses. Cheers!
