Hey Y'all! Im loving my 3rd Gen more than my son loves my old 2nd gen... 4 toy's over 27 years and I am still regretting selling the first one, a 1984 2WD lifted with a stick/22R and ac courtesy of 2split55. I have been watching Tacoma World since 2012 and many on this site have helped me keep my current stable of 3 running and fun to drive. Cheers and Sunday afternoon Beers to ya!

That's the first time I've seen those running boards on any other truck besides mine. Do you know what brand they are? I don't see any markings on mine. It came from the dealer with them, so I have no clue what they are.

I removed mine yesterday. They were mounted in such an awkward position that they were nearly useless. The only advantages I could see was (maybe) preventing door dings and they were nice to use to wash the top of the truck and windshield. I thought they looked good though.

The stealership put those on because they knew my wallet was coming... only problem is I didn't know I was getting a truck until it bit me hours later. The boards are Iron Cross Stealth model. I can't find a cross reference for them but I know they have saved my butt once already when one of my dogs locked me out of the truck. It's hell looking though the windshield to coat hangar the door without the running boards!

Thinking about getting it Line-X'ed. Think it would be cheaper than trading for a new one even though mine is paid for.

I'm running 305's and getting about 15.5 highway. Interstate use is around 14 because as the dealer says, the added resistance of the tires. I am blaming my foot and the constant transmission gear searching. The transmission TSB has been done. Toyota loves to fix things with their mouth.

It Kills the MPG's , shifting issue's are a bit worse forget about 6th! But i do have a solution for you and i will swear by it the ShiftSense Pro will fix all those ailments! It remaps the shift points to a higher RPM and holds all the gears like it should have been to began with!
