While I love the look of a black roof on these trucks, it's kind of pointless visually since you don't see much of it with a rack on. That said, I did it cause I carry tools and materials all the time and I wanted to protect the paint from bungees and straps and such. Also, with the rack on it's a pain to wash the roof, so I clay barred and cleaned it really well before I applied the vinyl so, hopefully, it'll look pristine if/when the time comes to replace the vinyl.

Thanks @KA19Taco - literally picked them up from a guy on CL on my way home from the dealership - then while I was picking them up another guy stopped and offered me $ for the factory steelies. All of that before I even made it home

Thanks for the kind words ;)

    It's a Snug Top ( https://www.snugtop.com/make/toyota ) Cab High model.
One feature I really like is the front window, not only does it slide it drops down into the bed

That's exactly what I'm thinking too. Protect it since it's hard to clean, protect it from bungees and other stuff.

But to your point of it being hard to see it much with the rack on - that's exactly what i wanted too. I didn't want it to look too obvious - more of a subtle detail under the rack.

Thanks for climbing on the roof for that drone shot :)

Looks good . I’ve considered wrapping the roof along with the A, B, C pillars and side mirrors. Did you DIY or pay someone and if you paid would you mind sharing how much? I just bought a roof rack and your point about the roof being hard to clean is pushing me towards the vinyl as long as it’s not too expensive.

I haven't been on the forums for quite some time but figured I would share my newest picture. Recently got Toyota to fix some peeling paint.
