Do the the 3rd gen 4runner window motors cross over with a 1998 Tacoma. Does someone have the part numbers. Thanks.

Edit: My bad for not putting 4runner in the subject line. Don't know how to edit the subject line.

Yes. The motors and window regulators are identical. I have a 1996 4Runner window motor on my 2004 Tacoma Double Cab Window Regulator in my 1998 Tacoma Ext. Cab.

Well, they are not all identical. There is a version of the motors that are auto up/down and have a different pigtail. I believe these were only 99-02 with the limited package.

I thought they would be the same. I can also see where the 99-02 could be different just like 01-04 Tacomas have some differences. I will keep that in mind when I go picking. Thanks.

You're right totally forgot about the auto up/down functions. I replaced my pass. side and it didn't have Auto up-down.
