Just cut off their hands.

 

Oh, I can see how the current slap on the wrist for each dozen or so car thefts each criminal commits really helps to make them stop.
In Washington state, the police can't really do anything to car thieves until they have several arrests.
Tell me that's a fair punishment for the crime.

 

You could just simply turn off the transmitter of the key fob as outlined in the users manual... no special fridge needed... unless you want a cold, turned off key fob....

 

Slap on the wrist, and hanging. Seems like there might be some options in between the extremes that would be more appropriate.

 

Smart keys, smart TV's, smart phones, stupid people. This is the new world. Fight the smart !!

 

Not waiting for multiple arrests for the same crime before the criminals get jail time would be a nice start.
