About to pull the tubes off my new 3rd gen. What's in the bolt-holes where the bars bolt up underneath from the factory for trucks delivered without them?

I figure it'll be easier to sell the tubes with the correct hardware, so I won't have the bolts to put back in. My first thought was to just 3d print some TPU plugs, but curious how they came factory.

The holes have plastic caps in them. Just an idea, take the bolts to a hardware store and get the same size/thread and put them in the holes.

I installed some aftermarket step tubes on a new 2019 DCSBOR a couple of months ago. There were no plugs or bolts in the holes.

The plug/screws ate cheap. Ask the new owner to give you their plugs when you sell them.

I just removed my steps and selling with the bolts for an easy sell. After reading this thread I feel like i should plug it now. I'm in SoCal so not sure if it's really necessary.

They aren't expensive, just protect some from the holes rusting.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Drove my new truck off the lot. On the way home, picked up a set of Predators off CL. Pulled out the plastic screws and bolted the bars on. Kept the plastic plugs.

Just bought some plastic plugs just in case... .40 cents each at my local hardware store.

I used a cotton swab to spread a little silicone caulk around the flat face of the plugs before knocking them in with a rubber mallet.

Factory Plug. It has a slot on the head for a flat head screwdriver. There are 12 of them.
