i know I have seen a picture of at least 1 truck that has the same ugly stock steel wheels as mine but with bigger tires. I've tried to search for " steel" " sr5" "aggressive ". I can't find it anywhere.

So does anyone have pics of the 3rd gen tacomas on stock steel wheels with bigger tires?

I did just realize that 265 could be as wide as I could go on the stock 7 inch rim.

265/75/r16 on stock '17 sr5 rims. Yokohama Geolanders AT G015. Some TW members poo poo them because they're "barely an AT" and "the same as stock tires" tire but I disagree. Especially for us SR and SR5 owners They work great for me and were a big step up.
