The prototype is done. I will produce a 2nd one and send a couple out for research and development. If my prototype works well then a sale thread is next. Here are a few pictures with and without the plate attached. 21A7CA33-AAB9-4FAA-8A67-24286780D6D3.jpg

Hopefully production is not too far away. Just a little prototype testing then if the current design works well I am ready to start production.

I just wanted to officially apologize. Somehow I missed your post way back when you made it. It was not my intention to not recognize your offer for help and to ignore you.

How much do you think you'll be selling these for?

I have to be honest, I am not entirely sure. I hope and expect to keep the price at or under $20 shipped but until I have a finished product I am unsure what shipping and materials will cost and how much time it will take me to produce an individual product. I am hopeful that these will fit nicely into a padded envelope so that the shipping cost can remain low.

I will take this opportunity to do a bit of market research. Free is best but what would the value of such a bracket be to you?

Fair enough! Yeah, I know how that all goes, was mainly curious. At or under $20 would be sick! I was just going to drill some holes in my license plate and mount it with the existing holes, but this would make life a little easier haha and actually be legit.

    It fits and it works!

Many thanks to @Mclovin80 for taking the time and effort to mount up my prototype on his truck. Here are some teaser pictures of what the bracket looks like after his installation:

Front License Plate Mount 29.jpg Front License Plate Mount 28.jpg Front License Plate Mount 27.jpg Front License Plate Mount 25.jpg

The finished product looks exactly like I envisioned, close to the bumper and much more low profile then the stock big ass piece of plastic. Thomas chose to use the two felt pads to allow the bracket to sit out from the bumper a quarter inch. It is possible to mount it directly against the bumper if that is preferred.

Now I need to create a sale thread, make up some installation instructions and then I am ready to take orders. Preliminary pricing looks to be about $18 for 1st class mail and $21 for Priority Mail. I just need to verify shipping costs before putting everything together.
