It's not that I don't drive it a lot...it's more that my commute to work is like 3 miles round trip, but that makes sense. Also the fact that I will ride my bike to work. I do also drive more in town than highway. Lot of stopping and going doing around 30-45 mph.

As far as the audi...you are right, that is surprising. I remember i took my bosses audi a while back for a ride and it was pretty sweet. Not sure the model of it, all I know was that it was a 4 door lol. But if something ever went bad on it, I certainly wouldn't want to be paying for that.

If you maintain it, I'm sure it will last quite a long time.

My grandmother has a 2002 Toyota Echo. 41k km on it. She only drives to the grocery store and bingo all within the area. Doubt the engine and exhaust ever get up to proper operating temp and stay there for a while.

Every Dodge V6 motor I've ever heard has the lifter knock after a few thousand miles. Piece of crap, in my opinion.

I unfortunately had a Dodge Dakota after my TJ for a few years, never would go Dodge again. That was my biggest regret, and I've had what others thought worse. Worst experience with a vehicle ever, tons of issues.

Haven't dealt with Dodge much but my old TJ was great until things started breaking and I didn't have the money to fix. So it was parted out

That is what I am worried about, the engine outlasting the frame :) I got maintenance on Power and drivetrain covered

    In before the bitch fight.

Only thing that could take out the Bro-Coma would be a curb, yuppies or electric gremlins :violent:

To be honest, wish I kept it so I could turn it into a good crawler and off roader like I wanted to in the first place. If I can find another one I will, keeping my eye out for one at a good price.

My girlfriend mom had an old ae86 Toyota. Had to get rid of it because the doors were rusting through as was the frame. Engine was still going strong

As long as anyone wants it to if they take care of it. I plan on keeping mine for 10 years. If it's still going strong at that point and I still like it, I'll keep it longer.

I have had taco since June and have 2700 miles on it. I'm 62 so it should last a lifetime.

ROFL... I hear ya. I'm hoping mine last a lifetime, even though its a 2nd gen., but then I'm only 55 with 167K +change on it. only thing going on right now is a vibration buzzing sound under throttle, I thought it was a heat shield under the truck (still not positive its not). I plan on putting the Gopro under it and go driving to isolate

I'd be surprised if it goes beyond 100K miles, with the minivan engine and overly complex transmission.

Pop-n-lock tailgate. New radio knobs. Rear step.
I suppose it depends on your end-of-life criteria. I'm curious as to the lifespan and replacement cost for the direct injectors and associated HP fuel pump. I believe the full fuel system replacement cost (for sand in the tank) was something like $12K IIRC. Anything major with the fuel system might be a deal breaker after a bit.

That being said, direct injection is becoming ubiquitous and I guess I'm more optimistic about lifespan with Toyota than with other manufacturers.
