Would’ve removed mine a while ago because I think the plastic looks cheap but I have color matched fender flares so i feel like the truck might look like even more of a cement blob without the black accents

Perhaps. Problem I have is that the b pillar vinyl is a cheap looking way to add black accent. Door handles or even a subtle pinstripe would be better. Flag decals could work too

I wonder if the black trucks come with the B-pillar vinyl sticker?
As much as I like de-badging and always remove the logo stickers, the Tacoma looks way better with the black vinyl B-pillar sticker I think.

When it gets above freezing I'll remove mine and share some before and after shots. Truck will need a total scrub down after all the salt and sand is washed off the roads here in Michigan.

    this and that...
might be just me, but i gotta go out of my way to notice the difference lol. like when we was kids in the dentist office waiting our turn and all they had was the highlights magazine and you needed to spot the changes between the two pages. tbh truck looks good either or.

There is always fully-finished paint under that sticker. Think about how much extra work it would take to NOT paint just that part of the door in production.

If you are thinking about removing your decal, make sure you consider how old your paint is and how much time it has spent in the sun. The paint under that sticker is going to be pristine, versus the paint around it that has been aging in the sun. The paint might not match anymore.

That same issue applies to removing badges as well. I took mine off as soon as I bought my truck (2 years old, 19k miles), and I could still see a very slight ghost of the decal after I removed it if I really looked for it. If you have a red 2016, I definitely would not remove decals today.

Valid point. Thankfully mine has less than 12k miles and it's white. So no worries here.

Fine but you would think that they would mention it instead of finding out her on TW.I did not know about it till I read it here. It should be an option of who wants the vinyl or not just saying.

Yes I think it looks great but to each their own I guess. Like mentioned here never had it on any of my 1-2 Gen Tacos. Is this on all 3 Gen or just the latest years.

Mine look like shit but i like the look with them, so I am going to replace or paint them. Anyone has the part number for the OEM ones or should I go aftermarket? All ideas are welcome.

I highly doubt this would have a replacement part. It's probably considered part of the paint/finish. There are no parts called out for the vinyl in the door panel assembly.

You should be able to buy a roll of vinyl black tape and do it yourself or go to a window tinting place they should be able to fix it for you.

Screen ProTech makes a set of covers in their scratch resistant material that can cover your existing ones. Not cheap but well made and don't scratch as easily as OEM. They come in black and clear.

For some reason, I can't link to their page. Perhaps they were banned here?
