Anyone running the bp51? How does it stack up. Most of the threads I've found only have pictures and they are "good". But good in what way?

ARB claims they have extra corrosion resistance. Has this been proven to be true in the northern states? Better resistance than ADS?

By the numbers it looks like they have less travel than other items at this price range(king, icon). Will I really notice? Is the compression and rebound adjusters worth that loss in travel?

Are they able to be height adjusted without going to a shop? I hear they are not and I assume that gives king the upper hand.

Edit: Marie at headstrong has given me some insight on ADS and they sound amazing. Anyone have them on a third Gen can chime in?

I can't remember what thread it was, but I seem to recall one member having issues with them in winter conditions.

I was in your boat about 2 weeks ago. I decided on BP51. I was leaning heavily away from them for the reason you stated, they are a tad shorter in travel. I spent a good while thinking everything over, and realized with the off roading i do, i don't really need the extended travels. I don't do any crazy rock crawling, mainly moderate trails. I did a lot of reading up on the BP51s and people really like the adjustability of them. load the rear end down, add compression, feeling too harsh, slow the rebound down. For these reasons i chose BP51. I can't say how they feel because i am still waiting for them to ship. they were on back order with an expected 3 week delivery time. hoping to have them by the end of this month.

I hear you. I'm really trying to future proof this purchase but the prices are getting to me.

I was all in on the BP-51's until I started deeper research. The problem I was most worried about was shock fade and heat. The BP-51s heat up and fade after a brief time.

I think I'll end up with this but with dakars instead. Or ADS.

I love my ADS setup with resi's and clickers all around with dakars. The adjustability is great and so far has been great on the situations that I've run them on. Last week we were cruising 60+ on forest service roads in Lincoln National Forest and it was smooth like butter!

Ive had these out in the sandy stuff nearby for hours at a time with no experienced fade, and thats with an average of 30-40mph of not great stuff. Small section here:

I cant see much in the video. The roads I run are way more extreme than that.

EDIT: if they work for your truck and your environment then you got exactly what you needed and I'm glad they work for you. The other factor for me was price. I got a 2.5 extended travel shock and deaver pack for the same price as the BP-51. For me it was a no brainer.

then you need long travel if your roads are more extreme than these. I catch air regularly

    I would but $$$$$$$$$

My roads are like driving through a mine field, its hard to explain, it's more cratered than the moon. A cheese grater with 6-8" holes.
