I just purchased the Diode Dynamics SS3 with Backlights and i'm looking for a plug & play solution to hook them up. I have a 2023 SR5 with OEM Halogen Headlights. What are my options? Thank you!

    Dave,
Thank you!! IF I knew that the SR5 was such a pain in the butt, I would of spent the extra $5G and got a TRD model. Last Question - Which lamp does the T-Harness plug into??

I am just here to defend the SR!.

But yeah, separating the turn from the DRL is a stupid amount of work…..

SR headlights have low beam, high beam, sidemarker and turn/drl. The last one is the only 3 way connector, the others are all 2 position / 2 wire bulbs.

    Dave,
Thank you again!! I was hoping it was the TUrn/DRL. I had to remove my battery to get at the Drivers side Sidemarker bulb. Getting these harnesses on order today.

Oh and true story, back when she still liked me a tiny little bit, my wife test drove a 2020 Tacoma (before I ended up buying my 2016) and picked SR5 DCLB in QS. I liked it a fair bit too, particularly the less-tiny 6' bed and I still love quicksand, but AT was just not something I could stomach. So I came very close to being an SR guy myself.

Ultimately my kids are close to outgrowing the rear seats so I'm befuzzled on what purpose my '16 serves, a hiace 7 passenger with good legroom would be a better choice at this stage.

    Dave,
I Truly wanted a TRD PRO Just couldnt afford it. Im old school 4x4 so I thought the SR5 was the perfect spot. I bought a 2015 SR5 Tundra, and made it a TRD PRO clone. I thought I would be able to do the same here. I just didnt do enough research. Thank goodness there are guys like you and John to provide the necessary support!!

If you are that interested in tinkering then for sure get a Johnny harness, OEM led headlights and have him do an integrated feed for backlight and grille lights. That’s the platinum option.

    And I wish I had a 2015 Tundra.

Room in the shop for a fourth truck?
In the last week or so, I have actually kind of developed a “deluxe” edition or sorts. Had three request for tapping the turns for mirrors or switchbacks, and the DRL/parking for grille lights (though that’s easy enough to convert to a backlight option, I might look at adding that to it). Not really sure of a price point, but I think it’s something I might offer on a built-order option. I didn’t charge anything for it so far, but I always do the first handful for no charge just to get some real world feedback and tune them in.

Yes, Johnny is on my list. I am hoping that the prices for the OEM head lights go down next year. I like what both you guys do!!! Please understand my backround is very simular to Dave's. I just dont know the Auto-mobile connectors, im a cannon plug type of guy!!! LOL but I still know my J-Std for crimping and wiring!!
