This will help cut down on the price for you. And yes, in most situations you can get more for your money when you buy aftermarket bumpers for a Jeep, but then the problem is, you still own a Jeep. Also the difference between building a Jeep bumper and a Toyota bumper is worlds apart. Jeep bumpers are extremely simple to build in comparison to most Toyota bumpers.

    Install instructions are here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ont-winch-bumper-install-instructions.446516/
The hoop or tow points can be used as a Hi-Lift point at the front of the vehicle if thats what you are curious about. Im not sure exactly what you mean by "how much weight the winch support can handle". The bumper is designed as a mounting location for a winch, so the winch support can handle the entire weight of the truck or the pulling power of the winch, whichever is more.
We do not offer powder coat at this time, all bumpers ship raw steel.
Here is a photo from one of our customer's IG pages showing the backside of the bumper with the winch bolted in place.

Agreed, there is more to the Toyota bumper. This is also a brand new model and there are not nearly as many options out yet. Once more options are available, price will drop. Don't kid yourself, Jeep shits all over Toyota off road, always has, maybe up until the last few years. They have their down sides, so does Toyota, their 4wd system has always stood first to every other in it's class. Truthfully the only reason I didn't buy a Jeep is that I feel they have pussified their product for the soccer mom. The only real Jeep left is the wrangler IMO and it's too small for my needs. I love my Tacoma but I would put money on my 2006 Rubicon walking all over any TRDOR on the planet stock for stock.

With all this said, don't get me wrong, i'm in no way bashing your bumpers. They look great and i'm sure they perform the same. I'll wait it out a year or two until 3-4-5 other companies start making aftermarket options and the price is cut in half. Just how it works, no different than any other new model of any popular vehicle.

Ok go ahead and wait it out. You will never see us or any other reputable companies cut the price in half. When you find one made in america with the same build quaility and material, attention to detail, fitment, styling and customer service to go with it all for HALF price, let us know. I guarantee the company wont be in business long because there is no way they will be able to pay themselves or their employees more than minimum wage to build them for that price. If Smittybilt or a similar company starts to build them, then you may see them for close to half price. But you will also be supporting products that are made in China and covered in a cheap powder coat that looks pretty when it shows up at your door, but peals off in less than a year like a POS Ranch Hand bumper.

I'm surprised you even responded to that guy. He is clueless on what it takes to a run a business. As a small business owner myself it doesn't take long to see the cost of a bumper is far far more than the steel involved in putting it together.

I'm a certified welder and run a crane shop. Far from clueless, GFYS I'll support china long before I pay twice just because it was built by a small business in the US. Couldn't care less, not worth twice the $ to me, ever. Just an FYI, your truck is built with parts made in Japan. Get off your high horse with support local business.

Smitty and ARB will come up with their own version before long, no doubt about that. There's a HUGE aftermarket for these trucks, everyone and their mother is fighting to be the first, 2nd, 10th, doesn't matter. Prices for everything in general will drop, same as always. Anyway, I unsubscribed from this thread a long time ago, for a reason. Really not interested in discussing it again.

If you already unsubscribed then why are you back here commenting on the price? If you think its too much, then you have the choice to not buy it. Simple as that.

Now moving on from the subject of price.

Because my post from months ago was quoted and I was drawn back in. Why did I bother? Good question, not worth my time.

Looks good to me and fair priced too. Good luck finding good quality for any cheaper. Check out the prices for 2nd gen and compare. It's been around for going on 11 years now and prices still haven't changed much.

Just to throw out an alternative option, I found a similar Bumper from Southern Style Offroad. http://www.southernstyleoffroad.com/product/2016-tacoma-slimline-hybrid-bumper/
The C4 is nice but i think i like SSO's better. SSO's appears to be a little smaller than C4's. This style bumper is definitely something i'm interested in but thats down the road cause I'm broke after buying my truck. I'll have to keep an eye out while saving for all the mods i want to see what slim/hybrid bumpers come out and figure out which one i find looks the best. Any of the slimline/hybrid options look so much better than stock to me.
