Just me and my friend with a wrangler, Nubes was supposed to go but he backed out. No official thread unless you want to start one. I got recover straps. I'm leaving from Ft. Hood @ 0700HRS we can meet @ the wallmart off 281 around 0830HRS maybe get some breakfast burritos or something b4 trailing. All is welcomed, I'll be in a black Tacoma with a roof rack this time.

I'll double check my route out there (not familiar with 281), but that sounds like a good plan.

I know I'll be going out through Georgetown, anyone interested in meeting there to caravan out?

Where will the trail head be? When I Google Map Hidden Falls, it takes me about 15-20 miles east of 281 off 1431, so I may not even hit 281 at all, unless these directions are wrong.

Looks like my primary routes can either be 1431 for 30-miles (scenic) out of Round Rock, or Highway 29 out of Georgetown.

yah your route looks a lot more interesting than mine. Do you wanna meet somewhere in Marble falls? Maybe meet @ Janie's Mexican Restaurant 0830HRS for some breakfast burritos?

Yeah, meeting in civilization might be good. It takes me 15 miles out of the way though. Are these really good breakfast tacos? :D

Also, your rig seems fairly serious, so I feel I need to state that I am a PreRunner without a locker (yet). Instead of 4x4, I permanently installed a recovery strap :D So much cheaper!

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Just heard about the meet, I'll try to make it down. Anyone able to pick up and drop-off at the airport in Harlingen? I'll probably have to make it just for the day because of my work schedule.

Not sure never ate there before. But they gotta work real hard to mess up breakfast burritos/tacos

LOL, I hope you weren't addressing me cuz I also have a prerunner with an open diff. What brand/model E-Locker were you planning on purchasing. I was thinking of just welding my diff.

Uh-oh. This could be interesting :p

I bought a TRD O/R rear-end out of an 2006 that had a head-on. I'm still debating if I'm going to do this or a ARB mod. Most likely the TRD rear, but keep my 8.4" around in case I need it.

The only crappy part is finding the wiring harness and fooling around with the VSC. Bolt-in and play I like, but when you start messing around with factory systems and wiring I get worried. Primarily because I don't understand it  Even the brake light switch threw us for a loop with how the switch functions.

Anyways. Yeah, I'll try to meet you at the restaurant, but may stop short at the park if I'm running late. I'm shooting for 830-9 at the restaurant.

Urgent change of plans. My cat's liver issues are taking a turn for the worse tonight. I'm going to bring him in first thing tomorrow to see what's going on :(

I'll catch you another day for wheeling, but for right now my poor little guy is exploding and I gotta make him a little more comfortable before his vet closes for the weekend.

Edit: is there any chance we could meet later in the day, maybe around 11? The vet closes at noon, otherwise I could still do an early morning run...

I hope your cat is doing better. I am still editing videos so here are a few pics for now.

Also roof rack came off after my day of trailing, hardware failure. :frustrated:

Hey pope, did you get your truck painted or wrapped? I know it was red at one time.
