Anybody here have a GoPro, or some kind of actual video camera not including cell phone cameras? :p It'd be cool to get some video while driving all together/hanging out on the beach!

    I don't have a video cam, that's why I'm asking. :p

Beach entrance fee is $9 and you can get $5 back if you turn in a trash bag with trash in it on the way out. There is no other fee.

Only certain spots have camping fees.. And that's because the city maintains that spot and keeps it clean

Isla Blanca Park has primitive Campsites.......they are over by the Dirty Al's. And yes they charge camping fees.

Camping on the sand on the beach side is free from what I can remember........trashing the beach will result in a ticket.

I posted the $9 fee because I thought the plan was to enter at acces 5 or 6 and drive out from there. Fish, BBQ , camp on the beach where we drive the trucks.

Any other campsite will not allow vehicles on the beach.

Ok gang, Daphne and I are coming down Friday night, staying at the KOA campground in SPI. We're planning on bringing my generator (just in case), a cooler full of beverages and some kind of side (mac or tater salad). Do we need to bring anything else? And where are we meeting at SPI and when? Sorry if I am being redundant, been on the road for the last week and have lost track of the plan.

Yep, the plan is to drive into access 5 and cruise the beach up towards access 6, after that we'll look for a space big enough to park (On the beach, just so there isn't any more confusion. :p)

We will all be meeting up at the Walmart parking lot in Port Isabel. Rougly between 1-2pm. You can't miss it, since you have to drive by it before you get to the bridge.

So for those of you that will already be at the island, if you would like to drive back to the Port Isabel side to meet up with us, that would be awesome. :D If not, then I'm sure you'll eventually see us coming up the beach. BUT, you'll want to be part of the "convoy", trust me! ;) :D

Ok cool. Yep the Academy location is at the intersection of Potranco Road and Loop 1604 in SA. Plan to arrive there by 7am, and roll out no later than 7:30 am.
