Anyone have this kit installed? Having trouble figuring out where exactly the 5th injector goes...

never heard of it, but i would assume its a spray injector thought the intake ports.

Does it go in the EGR port on the back of the S/C? I know that's where the additional injector goes on the 5vz S/C

I found this pic online. Looks like the injector is in the back of the charger in what I'm assuming is the EGR port. If you need to, you can delete the egr set up, it's not very difficult. I did it on mine when i turbo'd it. I have some pics on the 1st or 2nd page of my build thread.

I saw that picture too. I got the kit from LC engineering. Didn't come with any install instructions. Called them yesterday and they didn't know how it goes on! I couldn't believe it. They said they would call me back but have yet to hear from them.

The egr has coolant and vacuum lines to it correct? Does deleting it affect fuel mileage? Won't get a check engine light right?

I put a resistor in the EGR temp sensor wires to fool the ECU. You could probably do the same and use the EGR temp sensor hole if the injector tip is deep enough and leave the EGR valve in place if you are on an emissions testing state.

In the pic above I can see a bung next to where the big nipple near the rear of the manifold. That may be an option.

That's crazy they don't even know how to install a product they sale....
Anyhow, there aren't any coolant lines that run to the EGR, it's all vacuum lines that you just cap off. You can buy a block off plate for the sid ethat goes to your header or just make your own out of a small piece of sheet metal. In order to avoid getting a check engine light you just install a 10k ohm resistor in the plug for the EGR. I ran mine like that for a year with zero issues. No changes in fuel economy either.

Here's a pic of my plug with the resistor installed. I just wrapped it with electrical tape afterwards.

Also an example for the block off plate. This one is on the Intake Manifold but the same idea.[IMG]

I ran the resistor in the wire itself instead of across the terminals so that it appears stock. But @boostedka is right, it won't throw any codes. Mine even runs a little better than it did before.

Mine too. I wasn't sure what exactly effected how it ran more. I did this, deleted the Throttle Body coolant line, and put in new pink top injectors at the same time. Afterwards, the truck felt more responsive and torquey around town. This was right before I did the turbo set up when it was all motor still.

So after about an hour on the phone with LC engineering they told me there is a freeze plug behind the sc. 5th injector goes into it. They sent me extra parts which further confused me. Said they were for an older sc they used to sell but apparently never updated the 5th injector kit.

Where do you guys locate your piggy back ecu? Got a harness from urd. Worth every penny.

When I had a s/c, I put the ecu behind the passenger side kick panel. That was a urd ecu

You going to put that smaller pulley back on once you get this 5th injector installed?

Yeah I already put one on. Got a different one from LC engineering. 60mm which should be 8 psi. I'm hoping this kit was worth it lol.

Next mod is a clutch from marlin crawler and a heavyweight flywheel from LC.

You may also look into another set up. What I did on mine was I used an Aisin throw out bearing, pilot bearing and disk combined with a 5vz pressure plate. The V6 PP is supposed to have a higher holding capacity and should theoretically be good for 350 flywheel torque. I did this with a LUK flywheel and only paid a little over $200 for everything. It's been holding well for me since November running 8psi with my turbo set up

On the 3.4l v6, the 7th injector kit is only for NON EGR equipped trucks...if you're truck is equipped with EGR then they recommend the higher flowing injectors kit. I would assume the same applies for the 4cyl models. I have heard of some people doing an EGR delete on their trucks to run the 7th injector kit, so maybe that's something you could do with the 4cyl as well...

I finally figured it out. There is a freeze plug in the back of the blower that the injector goes into. So I can keep the egr.
