    What up!

So I’m trying to trouble shoot this piece and need some help here and advice.

cylinder 3 compression was horrible, 25 horrible. I ran a compression text and everyone else came in at 150+ psi except 3.

i isolated out the sparks, coil packs, fuel injectors.

I ended up throwing some compressed air through cylinder 3 with exhaust side closed and I can hear it in the rail pipe. The other cylinder ( 1 ) since they share positions holds compression and spins the fan a little bit.

now I’m taking it apart and notice that my header is wet on cylinder 3 and 4.. I’m guessing it’s leaking out there but not sure.

can this be a sign that maybe the gasket on the header is bad?? Or am I being hopeful and it could actually be the ring or valve or even carbon build up?

    Thanks

More a sign that your valve cover gasket may be bad or the valve cover needs to be tightened a little.

Compression might mean you need a valve adjustment, have you checked valve clearances?

I did check them, I’m hoping it’s carbon build up. Started taking it apart, I’ll update as I go along

Were any of them out of spec?

None out of spec. Checked the springs too and those were in tact. The exhaust one sounds funny when I push in and release. All the rest sound metal to metal but the top or left on cylinder three sounds non metal to metal, almost as if there is carbon build up preventing a perfect seal.
