3rz missing under heavy load

    2000 Tacoma prerunner 2.7
    So here's the thing guys. My 3RZ is missing but it only misses when you floor it .for some reason and then it will miss a little bit until it gets up into the mid-range RPMs and then it stops. I took it to the mechanic shop mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with it. He couldn't get it to miss he drove it back this morning . And yep sure enough it misses. So what do y'all think the causes is ?
