I’ve redid my timing chain recently and installed a new kit with guides and everything. I removed my head in the process because I wasn’t sure if the problem I was having was due to rod knock or chain slap. I didn’t mark my cams when I took them out and I can’t figure out what way they go in. Any ways that I can make them go to the stock settings. This is my first time doing a timing chain and I’m a little stuck. Anything would help. Thanks.

Thanks, I’m wondering if it matters if the markings have to line up or can they go in any way as long as the bottom end is in time.

hmm that's helps in the removing of the head and how to mark the cams but doesn't say what to do if you never marked the cams or put it to TDC before removing the head.

    I don’t think your screwed

just as long as you set TDC to bottom end/block(should be easy with head removed)
Then assemble per that manual with those dot marks on inside of cam gears
